In the NBA,  the Washington Wizards (24-36) are on the road against the Brooklyn Nets (32-30). In NCAA Basketball, the Houston Cougars (26-1) match up against the East Carolina Pirates (10-16). The Cougars improved their impressive record with a 71-59 victory over South Florida in their last game. In the NHL, the Vancouver Canucks (27-28-8) face off against the Colorado Avalanche (27-24-12). Vancouver could really use a win if they hope to make the playoffs, after losing eight of their last 11 games overall. Colorado lost to Florida 4-3 in OT last time out which ended their four-game winning streak. The Canucks are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Colorado.
