No team has been more wracked by injuries than the New York Yankees (23-15) and yet the Bronx Bombers continue to find ways to win ballgames. Last night, the Yanks opened their series in Tampa Bay (23-14) with a 4-3 win over the Rays as Domingo German became MLB’s first seven-game winner. Tonight, New York will try to make it two-in-a-row over the Rays as they send the ageless CC Sabathia (3-1, 2.20) to the mound against Tampa “opener” Ryne Stanek (0-1, 2.50). And the final week of the EPL season is set for Sunday with Manchester City leading Liverpool by a single point.
