The Boston Red Sox may have been looking for some divine intervention to get back into the playoff chase and appear to have gotten it in the form of the Angels. LA’s recent woes have continued as the Halos have dropped eight straight and 12 of their last 14 after last night’s 16-4 drubbing in Boston. For the Red Sox, the back-to-back wins to start the series are their first in two weeks and moved them to within 5 1/2 games of the final AL wild-card spot. They’ll try to make it three-in-a-row this afternoon as the series continues at Fenway Park. Rick Porcello (10-8, 5.54) will get the start for Boston, while LA will counter with Andrew Heaney (1-3, 5.09). To get Dunkel’s pick for this game and the full MLB schedule, click HERE.
