The Houston Astros set the table for the league championship series with their 6-1 win last night over Tampa Bay in Game 5 of the ALDS. The Astros advance to face the NY Yankees in the ALCS, which will begin on Saturday. The NLCS will get started tonight with the Washington Nationals facing the St. Louis Cardinals. Both teams advanced in impressive if opposite fashions. The Nats used a late comeback in Game 5 against the LA Dodgers to tie it in the eighth inning and win it in the 10th on Howie Kendrick’s grand slam. No late inning heroics were needed by St. Louis in their Game 5 as the Cards put up a 10-spot in the first inning against the Braves and cruised to a 13-1 win. Anibal Sanchez will get the start for Washington tonight, while Miles Mikolas will take the mound for St. Louis. First pitch is set for 8:08 p.m. at Busch Stadium. To get Dunkel’s pick, click HERE.
