The San Antonio Spurs annual Rodeo Road Trip has been anything but a smooth ride so far as they’ve dropped the first five games of the eight-game marathon. Last night in Denver, the Spurs (22-31) lost DeMar DeRozan to a last-second pre-game scratch with back spasms, but still led the Nuggets by 23 points with 19 minutes remaining before falling down the stretch, 127-120 . It won’t be easy to follow that effort with a trip to Oklahoma City tonight to face the Thunder (32-21), who had won nine of 10 games before losing to Boston at home, 112-111, on Sunday. Tip off is 8:00 p.m. EST at Chesapeake Energy Arena. To get Dunkel’s pick for this game and the full NBA schedule, click HERE.

Another team struggling on the road right now is the Michigan State Spartans (16-8). Tom Izzo’s team has lost four of its six conference games away from the Breslin Center, including 77-68 setback against Michigan on Saturday. Sparty stays on the road tonight against the Illinois Fighting Illini (16-7), who have a mini two-game losing streak of their own following their 75-66 home loss to Maryland on Friday. Tip off is 9:00 p.m. EST at State Farm Center. To get Dunkel’s pick for this game and the full NCAA Basketball schedule, click HERE.

And on the ice, the Tampa Bay Lightning (36-15-5) and Pittsburgh Penguins (34-15-5) play each other for the second time in less than a week. The Lightning took last Thursday’s contest, 4-2, in Tampa Bay and have won seven straight overall following last night’s 2-1 victory at Columbus. The Penguins have been nearly as hot with nine wins in their last 12 games. Face off is 7:00 p.m. EST at PPG Paints Arena. To get Dunkel’s pick for this game and the full NHL schedule, click HERE.
