Final 2007-08: Celtics Add Another Title
After facing unexpected challenges from Atlanta and Cleveland early in the
playoffs, the Celtics showed why they were the No. 1 ranked team heading into
the postseason as they put away both the Pistons and the Lakers in six games to
claim their 17th NBA title. Boston left little to chance in the deciding
game as it dominated the Lakers (131-92) on both ends of the floor. Paul
Pierce, a holdover from last year's 24-win team, won the series MVP, while new
additions Kevin Garnett (26 points, 14 rebounds) and Ray Allen (26 points) came
up big in the final. Here are the
