NCAA Football Game Picks
Ohio State vs. LSU
The Buckeyes are looking for redemption after last year's embarrassing 41-14
loss to Florida in the BCS championship. It's more by luck that Ohio State
is even here tonight as losses by Missouri and West Virginia late opened the
door for Jim Tressel's team. Now that they are here, though, the Buckeyes
are a very capable team with the nation's No. 1 defense (11 points; 225 yards
per game) and an offense that can move the ball behind QB Todd Boeckman (2,171
yards; 23 TDs) and RB Beanie Wells (1,463 yards; 14 TDs). LSU has lived
life on the edge under Les Miles, winning four of its last eight by a TD or less
and dropping a pair to Kentucky and Arkansas in OT. That could catch up to
them against an OSU team that should be more prepared than last year.
The Buckeyes are the underdog pick (+6) according to Dunkel, which has LSU
