Week 21: Philly Falling
A rebuilding season that was going better than expected took a sudden turn
downward as the Flyers dropped their 10th straight to the Panthers on Saturday.
Adding to the misery is the news that leading-scorer Mike Richards is likely out
for the next three weeks with a torn hamstring. Philadelphia has fallen to
No. 16 in this week's Index. Here are the complete Dunkel hockey ratings*

Week 20: Detroit's Wings Getting Clipped
It hasn't been the best stretch for No. 1 Detroit as Sunday's 1-0 loss at Dallas
marked the Red Wings' sixth straight setback. Even coach Mike Babcock's
decision to start third-string goalie Jimmy Howard couldn't shake the team out
of its 0-5-1 funk. Here are the complete Dunkel hockey ratings* for the
week.

Week 15: Penguins Getting W's With Ty
Pittsburgh has jumped up to No. 4 in this week's Index thanks largely to the
play of goalie Ty Conklin, who has gone 9-0-1 since being recalled from
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Subbing in for the injured Marc-Andre Fleury,
Conklin led the Penguins on a nine-game winning streak that was finally stopped
by Atlanta in a shootout on Sunday. Here are the complete Dunkel hockey ratings* for the

Week 14: Montreal At Home On The Road
The Canadiens have been a tough team to figure out. While Montreal has
only a .500 record at home (7-7-5), it has the second-best road record in the
East (13-6-3). That flip-flop was on full display this weekend as the Habs
lost at home to Washington, a team they had beaten easily on the road a few
weeks ago. Thanks largely to their success on the road, the Canadiens are
ranked No. 4 in this week's Index. Here are the complete Dunkel hockey ratings* for the

Week 13: Blackhawks Back In The Hunt
Chicago has not won a Stanley Cup since 1961 -- the longest drought in the NHL
-- and the Blackhawks have failed to qualify for the playoffs in eight of the
last nine seasons. But Chicago is enjoying a resurgence this season behind
the inspired play of rookies Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. The
Blackhawks have won four of their last five to move into second place in the
Central Division and No. 11 in this week's Index. Here are the complete Dunkel hockey ratings* for the
week.
