The Angels got some bad news yesterday when it was reported that two-way star Shohei Ohtani was going to miss at least the next three weeks with an elbow sprain. It’s not clear whether Ohtani might end up needing Tommy John surgery, but what is clear is that both his bat (.289, 6 HRs, 20 RBI) and arm (4-1, 3.10) will be missed in the Halo’s lineup. Manager Mike Scioscia talked of absorbing the news and moving on, and that’s what the Angels will try to do today as they continue their series in Minnesota against the Twins.
