The Boston Red Sox became the first MLB team to clinch a playoff spot last night with their 7-2 win over the Blue Jays. Alex Cora’s team will now begin the process of fine-tuning for the postseason beginning with today’s starter, David Price, who has been the team’s most consistent pitcher since the All-Star break (3-0, 2.30 ERA). The college football schedule has been in a state of flux this week with Hurricane Florence heading toward the East Coast. Week 1 of the NFL schedule had plenty of surpises, including the Baltimore Ravens going into Buffalo and beating the Bills by 44 points (47-3).
