There’s A Catch

The Houston Astros have arguably the best pitching staff in baseball, but just who is going to catch their pitches is becoming a big question. A day after the Astros put Brian McCann on the DL with a knee injury, his replacement — Max Stassi — was forced to leave last night’s game after getting hit on the right wrist with a pitch. Down to the recently recalled Tim Federowicz behind the plate, the defending champs didn’t seem deterred as they prevailed over the Rangers, 5-3. The Lone Star State showdown will continue tonight as the Astros send Gerrit Cole (9-2, 2.50) to the mound against the Rangers Mike Minor (6-4, 4.64).
