Wright Place, Wright Time

David Wright has battled neck, back and shoulder injuries in an effort to put on a New York Mets uniform one last time. It looks like he’ll be able to do that in NY’s last home series as the Mets announced yesterday that Wright will be in the starting lineup for their September 25 game versus the Braves. It will Wright’s first time in an MLB uniform since 2016 and likely the last for the seven-time All-Star. In the meantime, the Mets will open up a series tonight in Boston against the Red Sox with Noah Syndergaard (11-3, 3.44) taking the mound against Boston’s Hector Velazquez (7-2, 3.29).
